Terrence and Pamela Hawkins currently serve as Chief Executive and Chief Financial Officers of Hawkins Accounting & Tax Service, Inc. Terrence began the sole proprietorship in 1996 Hawkins Tax Service: in 1998 the company turned into a partnership and was incorporated in 2001 with the new name Hawkins Accounting & Tax Service (HATS). The goal of the company is to provide professional service in a God-filled atmosphere.

HATS is located in the university area and has a staff consisting of certified tax preparers and instructors, a certified public accountant, loan officer, and certified credit instructor/counselor.

Seeing the need to financially empower and educate the community, HATS offers an army of services including tax preparation and planning, accounting, bookkeeping, non-profit audits, payroll, certified tax school, tax and homebuyer seminars, and credit and mortgage counseling. The company also offers mortgage lending on site and has recently opened its non-profit organization (Thombs Training & Education Center).

Terrence and Pamela are both graduates from the University of NC at Charlotte, reside in Harrisburg, NC and have one son, Nickolas William. For the past two years, Terrence has been specializing in bringing churches and non-profit organizations in compliance with the IRS guidelines and accounting standards issued by the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB).
